Methuen Village Participates with Tuft’s VIVE Study

Methuen Village at Riverwalk Park and Tufts University Exercise Physiology Department  have been partnering in a study for the past few months. We are excited to participate in V.I.V.E. Bob Pigeon, WWII Sea Bee was very proud to see his long-time friend, WWII veteran, POW and published author John Katsaros receive the Legion of Honor medal from the Counsulor of France at the Haverhill Senior Center. Methuen Village was well-represented when a bus load of residents attended this event.

Michael Beshara and Charlotte Blood enjoyed a spin on the dance floor to the music of the Eastern Sound Orchestra at our recent American-Polish Party.

Mike said it best. “Only at Methuen Village could you find a nice Lebanese boy dancing with a nice Jewish woman to an Irish song played by a Polish band. I love it here!”

The Dynomite Methuenites Wii bowling team at Methuen Village have just started their summer tournament season with National Senior Leagues.

Lifetime Achievement Awards June 2011

Methuen Village hosted its monthly Lifetime Achievement.

Receiving the awards are Mike Beshara, Katie Contarino, Jenny Ratcliffe and Louise Flynn.

Executive Chef Victor Casado prepared healthy hors d’oeuvres for the occasion for friends, family and fellow residents to enjoy!

Mari, Mari, …how does your garden grow?

Marianna Gabryjelski enjoys tending her garden at Methuen Village. Her zuchinis are almost a foot long and the tomatoes will be ripe by August! Betty Stafford enjoys checking the progress of the garden daily.

Spring Clean-up at Methuen Village 2011

Residents decided to participate in the city-wide clean-up day. They received team tee-shirts and took advantage of the beautiful spring weather!

Ms Irene Fink is a Methuen Village resident.  Born in 1913, here she shares her talent of playing the harmonica with current harmonica student 15 year old Madeline Corey-Rahme!
